A Legacy That Lives & Listens

In celebration of Black Music Month, the Cincinnati Music Festival is proud to support the 2025 Black Music Month Kick-Off Celebration hosted by Hamilton County Commissioner Alicia Reece and the Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame. Together, we honor the trailblazers of Black music — past, present, and future.

Join us for the official 2025 Inductee Announcement, a commemorative group photo, and a powerful celebration of the artists whose sound and influence helped shape the world.

The Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame is more than a monument — it’s an immersive and interactive experience that honors the rich legacy of Black artists from Cincinnati, Hamilton County, and Southwest Ohio. From funk and jazz to gospel, hip-hop, and rock, the impact of this region’s music continues to echo around the globe.

Visitors can explore augmented reality exhibits, scan QR codes to unlock artist histories, and even record themselves dancing or performing alongside their favorite inductees. It's a tribute that engages all the senses — connecting history to the future.

Open to the public and accessible for all, the Walk of Fame invites you to listen, learn, and celebrate the sounds that built our city and continue to shape its spirit.
